HOT TUBS SUSSEX FAQ`s

HOT TUBS

Do you have the Hot Tub indoors or outdoors?

In our opinion, you will enjoy your tub more by placing outdoors, but close to the house so that you will be able to access it easily. There really is nothing quite like being outdoors, enjoying your garden, star gazing with the wind chill on your face, whilst you’re immersed in a body of lovely warm massaging water.

What are the most important features of a tub?

Comfort, Energy Efficiency, Good Hydromassage…. these are the most important requirements …be careful as not all makes feature all three.

How can I tell whats a good quality tub and what’s not?

Sadly, it can be too easy to be caught out by “The Emperors New Clothes” as very often a tub which may be perceived to be of a high quality. In reality isn’t. Call us and request one of our information packs which will include a list of questions you really ought to be asking when viewing tubs in order to establish if the unit you are viewing is truly a quality driven value for money tub.

Do more jets in a tub make it better performing?

No!…. Often less jets actually mean better performance. An analogy would be to take the shower in your house. If the head of the shower is open such that 60 small holes (jets) are open, you get a gentle shower. Turn the showerhead such that only five or six holes (jets) are now open and you get an intense impulse massage. Therefore, it is fair to suggest less jets give better massage.

How much does a tub typically cost to run with regards power consumption?

A high-energy efficiency tub like the Beachcomber and those using full (not part) foam insulation will typically cost, in a domestic family situation, about £10 - £12 per month in electricity.

Is it easy to install a Hot Tub?

Nine times out of ten…Yes! Pay attention to access as typically you will need to have 40” clear access avoiding overhangs, gutters ect. Once in, you will need a suitable level base and in most cases, a 16/22amp* electrical supply. Sometimes, a crane will be needed to lift the tub over the house – our experience has shown a typical cost for this service is around £400 subject to access etc.

*Depending on make & model.
